Job summary

Huntress - Maidstone is recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Consultant - Absence Lead to join a public sector organisation in Medway on a fixed term contract to March 2027.

You will lead absence management, support managers with complex cases, and help embed new absence policies and best practice, while advising across disciplinary, grievance, capability and ill-health matters.

A solid ER background, knowledge of UK employment law, and CIPD or equivalent HR experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Solid Employee Relations experience.
• Good understanding of UK employment legislation.
• CIPD or equivalent HR experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead absence management and advise on complex absence cases.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, capability and ill-health cases.
