Job summary

Hyreus is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to cover the South West of England. The role involves servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on chillers, AHUs and related HVAC systems across commercial environments.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with chillers and AHUs, strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, and relevant qualifications (F-Gas advantageous). A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced HVAC Service Technician or Service Engineer with hands-on experience with chillers, AHUs and commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills for servicing, maintenance, commissioning and repair.
• Relevant HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical or electrical qualifications; F-Gas certification advantageous.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently or in a team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West of England.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, commission and repair chillers, AHUs and associated HVAC equipment on customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and controls faults with structured fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Carry out inspections, testing and performance checks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Complete service reports and provide technical documentation, communicating with customers.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety requirements, procedures and standards.

The role is suited to an experienced HVAC Service Technician with a strong background in servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on chillers, AHUs and associated HVAC systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career while working with a leading international OEM across a range of commercial and technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, commission and repair chillers, AHUs and associated HVAC equipment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and controls-related faults, using a structured approach to fault-finding and system diagnostics.
• Carry out inspections, testing and performance checks, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer requirements.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation, communicate with customers and provide professional technical support and advice.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health and safety requirements, company procedures and industry standards.
