Job description

Job Title: HVAC Sales Engineer

Location: Birmingham with frequent UK travel and overnight stays

Salary: £45,000 (£55,000 – £65,000 OTE) + Vehicle

Working Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

First Military Recruitment is proudly partnering with a reputable business seeking a dedicated HVAC Sales Engineer on a permanent basis due to growth. The role covers Birmingham with frequent travel across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow service contract business and retain existing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts within the assigned sales region.
  • Identify opportunities for PPM contracts and conduct monthly reviews of renewal contracts.
  • Support regional sales and service managers in resolving customer credit issues.
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers for service, sales, and rental opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Service Director to develop regional business plans.
  • Meet regional sales goals and targets.
  • Review contingency plans for rental equipment across customer sites.
  • Prepare quotations for service and rental projects.
  • Update monthly sales forecasts and ensure sales systems are current.
  • Monitor market trends and adapt service offerings accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with regional and national colleagues.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial sales and service, preferably within the HVAC industry or similar.
  • Training in health and safety principles.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK with overnight stays.
  • Professional, flexible, and excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Team player with good time management and awareness of budget impacts on strategy.
