A specialist recruitment business is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Halifax / Bradford area. This permanent position involves designing and developing unique HVAC products while managing customer orders. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of product design experience and a relevant engineering degree, along with proficiency in 3D modelling software such as Inventor. The salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years product design experience.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or relevant mechanical design-based subject.
• Ability to work under own initiative.
• Experience of 3D modelling (Inventor) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Manage the design of products ordered by a customer.
• Coordination of design and development of bespoke HVAC products.
• Produce technical documentation required to manufacture product.
• Liaise with customers as necessary.
