Job summary

A leading engineering services company based in the UK is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to perform maintenance tasks in plant rooms. The ideal candidate will hold relevant plumbing or electrical qualifications and have experience in commercial settings. Responsibilities include planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance, and conducting testing for water systems. The role offers competitive pay, 25 days holiday, and additional benefits.

Job description
HVAC Engineer

£40-42k basic for 40 hours per week, 25 days holiday + your birthday off, van and fuel card, personal use available.

Location: Bristol, Bath, Gloucester & parts of Wiltshire.

Responsibilities
  • Planned and reactive maintenance tasks within plant rooms and communal areas.
  • Dealing with statutory compliance, initial fault finding for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning plant.
  • Water temperature checks, Legionella testing, pumps and motors, AHUs, FCUs, and general plumbing tasks.
  • TMVs, flushing, and replacement of components like for like.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Commercial Plumber, Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, or either mechanically or electrically qualified.
  • Qualified in mechanical (Air Conditioning, Gas, or Commercial Plumbing) or electrical (Level 2 minimum).
  • Previous experience within a commercial plant room.
  • Flexible on qualifications as long as the above experience and passion for service and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance is demonstrated.
