Job summary

TECREC (ENGINEERING RECRUITMENT SPECIALISTS) LTD is seeking an experienced HVAC & LEV Engineer to join the Stevenage site in Hertfordshire. You will ensure the safe, efficient operation of HVAC and exhaust ventilation systems and act as the technical authority across the engineering team.

You will provide governance and support to engineering teams and third‑party suppliers, review service reports, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in HVAC and LEV engineering.
• Experience in engineering, facilities maintenance or technical environments.
• Experience with HVAC and LEV/Exhaust Ventilation systems.
• Knowledge of legislation, engineering standards and safe systems of work.
• Experience reviewing technical service reports and managing corrective actions.
• Ability to provide technical governance and support to project teams.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Authority for Exhaust Ventilation systems and HVACs across the site.
• Support Third-Party Suppliers and engineering teams by providing technical advice, best practice, and safe systems of work.
• Ensure technical delivery is fully compliant and fulfils all relevant legal requirements.
• Act as the point of contact for all HVAC/LEV service-related issues for Engineering Operations.
• Review and sign off third-party service reports and follow up corrective actions for any faults identified.
• Ensure the site’s HVAC/LEV systems are maintained in accordance with current legislation, where applicable, and best available technology.
• Liaise with all project teams on site to ensure current site standards are used and implemented.
• Provide innovative ideas and technology solutions to improve business delivery.
• Provide technical support and governance to projects.
• Ensure all Quality Control systems and procedures are implemented and maintained.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within an engineering, facilities maintenance, or technical environment
• Experience working with HVAC and LEV / Exhaust Ventilation systems
• Strong technical knowledge, fault-finding, problem-solving, and engineering skills
• Experience providing technical advice and support to third-party contractors and engineering teams
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, engineering standards, and safe systems of work
• Experience reviewing technical service reports and managing corrective actions
• Ability to provide technical governance and support to project teams
• Right to work in the UK
