Mobile HVAC Engineer – Hard FM Services

Location: Cambridgeshire & Surrounding Areas – Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + Van + Fuel Card + On-Call + Overtime + Excellent Benefits – Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 – Contract: Permanent, Full-Time.

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Mobile AC / Refrigeration Engineer to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial and critical environments in the Cambridgeshire region. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and associated building services plant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys a varied workload, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for overtime and progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Service and repair chillers, split systems, AHUs, and BMS‑controlled plant.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with site and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all site activities.
  • Participate in the on‑call rota and respond to emergency call‑outs as required.
  • Liaise with clients and site teams to maintain excellent working relationships.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar mobile FM or building services role.
  • Refrigeration qualification (NVQ / C&G) and F‑Gas / refrigerant handling certificate.
  • Electrical competency or qualification.
  • Strong understanding of H&S procedures and permit‑to‑work systems.
  • Experience with BMS and controls desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
