Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a Mobile HVAC Engineer in the Exeter/Taunton areas to provide general electrical and mechanical maintenance service on HVAC and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate should have trade qualifications and be electrically competent, with a strong commitment to health and safety. Qualifications

• Solid background within a similar role.
• Data Centre experience would be helpful but not prerequisite.
• Refrigerant handling certification required.
• Undertaken relevant Health and Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC plant and equipment.
• Execute reactive repair tasks on site plant and equipment.
• Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Complete site work order documentation to required standards.
• Work as an on-call duty engineer as part of a team.

Role Overview

Provide general electrical / mechanical maintenance service and support on Refrigeration / Air Conditioning, heating equipment and associated plant to various properties and Data Centres.

What you'll do

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of plant, equipment and industrial service supplies, including:
  • HVAC Plant and all associated equipment
  • Industrial / Commercial Chillers and various split systems
  • Building management Systems
  • AHU Plant and associated equipment
• Carry out reactive repair tasks on site plant and equipment similar to the above.
• Undertake all duties in a safe, tidy and responsible manner in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensure that spares and materials are used in a cost–effective manner.
• Carry out other duties as reasonably requested from time to time by site management or the client.
• Obey client and EMCOR site rules and maintain a high standard of discipline at all times.
• Work as an on–call duty engineer as part of a team rota if required.
• Complete site work order documentation to required site standards.
• Carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by EMCOR and client management.

About the role

Who you'll be:

• Solid background within a similar role.
• Trade Qualifications and level? Refrigeration Qualifications NVQ/C&G Certificate.
• Electrically qualified or competent.
• Data Centre experience would be helpful but not prerequisite.
• Refrigerant handling certification.
• Knowledge of Permit to Work System.
• Undertaken relevant Health and Safety Training (or willing to undertake relevant training).
• Ability to sustain effective relationships.
• Some Knowledge of Building Management Systems would be an advantage.
