Job description
Overview

HVAC Engineer required in the Kent area for our client, a leading HVAC company that has 6 regional offices and has been expanding since it formed over 20 years ago. They offer their customers a complete turnkey solution for the installation, service, maintenance, fault finding and repair on a range of HVAC equipment. Their client base consists of long-standing client relationships with clients such as David Lloyd Leisure, Vue Cinemas, Cineworld, Tate & Lyle, Radisson Hotels, Hilton, Malmaison and more.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, fault finding and repair of HVAC equipment, including VRV/VRF systems, split units, chillers, AHUs and cold rooms.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance as part of a turnkey solution.
  • Respond to on-site service calls and provide timely, clear reports on findings and remedial actions.
  • Work to all relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications
  • Apprenticeship served within the air conditioning industry (not essential).
  • Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent.
  • 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas).
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Experience with service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Live in the Kent region.
Benefits
  • Basic Salary up to £42,000.

  • Profit share scheme after 12 months' service – Up to £3,600 tax free.
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x.
  • 40 hour working week; travel paid after 30 minutes each way.
  • On-call allowance (1 in 4/5, £1,200 guaranteed; travel paid door to door if called out).

  • 22 days' holidays plus bank holidays; increases to 25 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years.
