Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced HVAC Commissioning & Service Engineer to join its growing building services team. Based from their Cambridgeshire workshop, you will work field-based across Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas, carrying out commissioning, servicing, testing and fault-finding on commercial HVAC and ventilation systems.

This role suits engineers with a strong practical background who can work independently on site and liaise directly with clients and contractors,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience within HVAC, ventilation or building services.
• Commercial HVAC experience required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of airflow balancing and system controls.
• Experience with performance testing and commissioning.
• Experience working on commercial projects.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning commercial Air Handling Units (AHUs) on live projects.
• Carrying out functional testing and system performance checks.
• Airflow verification and balancing.
• Fault finding and diagnostics on HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Attending service visits and troubleshooting installed equipment.
• Testing system controls and associated components.
• Replacing components including motors, sensors and other parts.
• Producing accurate commissioning reports and documentation.
• Working closely with clients, contractors and site personnel.

Location: Cambridgeshire - Field-Based

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Role

Our client is a growing specialist within the HVAC and building services sector and is looking for an experienced HVAC Commissioning & Service Engineer to join their team. Based from their workshop in Cambridgeshire, you will be working on a field-based basis across Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas, carrying out commissioning, servicing, testing and fault-finding across commercial HVAC and ventilation systems. This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a strong practical background who is confident working independently on commercial sites and dealing directly with clients and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Commissioning commercial Air Handling Units (AHUs) on live projects


• Carrying out functional testing and system performance checks


• Airflow verification and balancing


• Fault finding and diagnostics on HVAC and ventilation systems


• Attending service visits and troubleshooting installed equipment


• Testing system controls and associated components


• Replacing components including motors, sensors and other associated parts


• Producing accurate commissioning reports and documentation


• Working closely with clients, contractors and other site personnel


• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
