Job summary

FläktGroup UK is seeking a skilled HVAC Commissioning Engineer to commission, service, and maintain AHUs, CCUs and related equipment in line with company standards. You will work across a diverse product portfolio, with training provided to broaden expertise and become a versatile commissioning specialist.

The role requires proven HVAC commissioning experience, a strong technical foundation, and a proactive learning attitude.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HVAC commissioning, fault-finding and system optimisation.
• Ability to work across a broad range of HVAC products including AHUs, CCUs, CRAC and chillers.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance for environments like schools/hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Attend client sites to perform technical/engineering tasks ensuring high-quality customer experience.
• Commission plant and equipment as per site contracts.
• Prepare on-site risk assessments to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional or alternative services for the client.
• Support local sales by submitting leads to the sales team.
• Participate in meetings, briefings and training for professional development.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and maintaining Air Handling Units, Close Control Units, and associated equipment in line with company standards and industry best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commissioning engineer looking to broaden their expertise across a diverse HVAC product portfolio. We will provide training and support on additional product ranges where required, helping you develop into a highly versatile and in-demand commissioning specialist.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Attend client sites as directed to perform technical and engineering tasks within your skillset, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
• Commission plant and equipment as per site contracts agreements.
• Prepare on-site risk assessments to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and report opportunities to provide additional or alternative services that add value for the client.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience in HVAC commissioning, fault-finding and system optimisation.
• A strong technical foundation with the ability and willingness to work across a broad range of HVAC products, including chillers, close control units (CCUs), CRAC units, 4-pipe air source heat pump systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units and associated controls.
• A proactive attitude and aptitude for learning new technologies and product ranges, with a desire to develop into a multi-skilled Commissioning Engineer.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one, to support work in environments such as schools and hospitals.
• F-Gas, City & Guilds 2079, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent HVAC qualification (desirable).
• Electrical qualifications and experience (advantageous).
• Comfortable working at height and within confined spaces.
