Job summary

Ser- on Andover static site seeks an HVAC Assembly Supervisor to lead a small on-site team assembling heat pumps, ventilation units and cooling systems for nationwide distribution.

Must have F-Gas Category 1, hands-on HVAC installation experience, ability to read drawings, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Excellent attention to safety and quality expected; competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification (essential).
• Proven experience installing commercial or industrial refrigeration, cooling, or HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with brazing, pressure testing, vacuum testing, and commissioning.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of on-site personnel.

• Interpret engineering drawings and installation specifications.
• Install refrigerant pipework, components, and equipment.
• Pressure test, evacuate, charge and commission systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Liaise with production, engineering and project teams to ensure timely delivery.

Position: HVAC Assembly Supervisor

Location: Andover/Static Site

Salary/Package: £36,000 - £49,000 (DOE), Bonus, 23 days + banks, Pension,

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a strong HVAC Engineer to join a very well-established Manufacturer of mechanical plant that includes Heat Pumps, Ventilation Units and Cooling systems.

This site-based position will be working with a team of manufacturing engineers that are assembling new plant to be shipped all over the country.

We need this engineer to have a strong technical knowledge of HVAC or heat pumps. It is essential that this person can weld, so a strong Air Conditioning Installation Engineer would be good for this position.

The Role

• Lead and supervise a team of on-site.
• Install commercial and industrial refrigeration and cooling systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings and installation specifications.
• Install refrigerant pipework, components, and associated equipment.
• Pressure test, evacuate, charge and commission.
• Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and industry standards.
• Carry out quality inspections and provide technical support to the team.
• Liaise with production, engineering, and project teams to ensure installations are delivered on time.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification (essential).
• Proven experience installing commercial or industrial refrigeration, cooling, or HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with brazing, pressure testing, vacuum testing, and commissioning.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• CSCS card.
• IPAF and/or PASMA.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
