11KV DNO Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – Remote / Field-based – South of England

Overview

NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading name in the power distribution industry, seeking a skilled and safety-driven SAP to join their specialist HV services team. This is a field-based role covering projects across the South of England or Scotland, with a mix of installation, maintenance, and product support work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of HV projects ranging from large-scale CDM construction to smaller maintenance and repair works.
  • Plan and execute outages, prepare switching programmes, and produce all relevant safety documentation.
  • Complete RAMS, test certificates, reports, and ensure a safe working environment during HV and LV operations.
  • Carry out installation, refurbishment, testing, and fault-finding on HV equipment.
  • Coordinate and manage site works with engineers, sub-contractors, and utilities.
  • Support project costing, material planning, and logistics.
  • Maintain authorisations and ensure compliance with industry best practice and safety rules.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the Electrical and/or Distribution industry.
  • Full SAP Authorisation (including sanction for test) with a UK DNO such as UKPN, SSEN, WPD or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Distribution Safety Rules.
  • BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Computer literate and confident using MS Office.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional international work.
Desirable
  • Authorisations on Private Networks.
  • Training such as First Aid, IPAF, PASMA, SMSTS.
  • 18th Edition / 2391 Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
