Job summary

Imerys is seeking a Power Distribution Technician to support the operation and reliability of its High Voltage power network across Cornwall and Devon. You will perform breakdown response, preventative and planned maintenance, and assist with network modifications while ensuring safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.

You will also contribute to maintaining the Fibre Optic Communications Network and CCTV systems across multiple locations, with opportunities to work overtime as needed

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent
• Experience or willingness to train in HV/LV distribution systems
• Background in three-phase industrial wiring and motor control

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance across HV distribution network including substations, overhead lines and switchgear.
• Install and maintain transformers, overhead lines and switchgear as required.
• Maintain Imerys Fibre Network and CCTV networks across sites.
• Provide precise cable location services to support operations.
