Tremendous opportunity for people with high voltage installation, operations and maintenance experience to join an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) that specialises in turnkey HV solutions in the renewable energy and private network sectors. Positions are available across the Midlands and Yorkshire. Working in the organisation's O&M department, the main purpose of the role is to carry out planned, preventative and emergency maintenance of HV equipment, such as transformers and switchgear, mainly at 11kV and 33kV.

Positions are available for Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) and Authorised Persons (APs) with experience working on private networks, looking for the opportunity to progress with an innovative organisation.

Duties:
  • Inspect and maintain HV equipment found in a substation
  • Perform protection testing
  • Troubleshoot and fault find HV equipment
  • Install transformers and switchgear
  • Conduct earthing tests
  • Carry out HV switching, write switching schedules, issue permits and safety documentation
  • Put together work plans, quotes and RAMS
  • Coordinate the work of technicians
  • Carry out LV and HV jointing and cable terminations
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders
  • Ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget, in line with client requirements and industry regulations

Previous experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of HV equipment (transformers, switchgear etc) is essential. Experience as an AP or SAP is important. A driving licence and willingness to travel is required.
