Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Humanities teachers to inspire students in Chesterfield from September 2026. Roles cover History, Geography and RE at Key Stage 3 and 4, with potential for A‑Level teaching for suitably experienced candidates.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in a relevant humanities subject (e.g., History, Geography, RE).
  • A strong classroom practitioner with a commitment to achieving the highest standards.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the humanities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students and colleagues.
  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging "mixed humanities" lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Assess student progress effectively and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with a supportive humanities team to develop shared planning resources and cross-curricular projects.
  • Contribute to the school's enrichment activities, such as local heritage site visits.
  • Maintain a stimulating and well-organised classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.

Salary: MPS/UPS (commensurate with experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent / Fixed-Term (Opportunities vary by school)

Suitable for: Experienced Teachers & Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
