Job summary

Teach South Kent is seeking Humanities teachers for flexible supply roles in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas. Positions include daily cover and longer-term placements starting September 2026, with options to fit around other commitments.

You will teach History, Geography, Religious Studies or other Humanities subjects to KS3/KS4, prepare engaging lessons, support varied abilities and contribute to GCSE preparation where appropriate. Competitive daily pay and recruitment support provided.

Qualifications

Do you specialise in History, Geography, Religious Studies or another Humanities subject?

We are working with secondary schools in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas who are looking for enthusiastic Humanities Teachers from September.

There are opportunities for flexible day-to-day supply as well as regular and longer-term placements, giving you the option to work around your existing commitments or secure a more consistent role.

The role may involve:

• Teaching History, Geography, RE or other Humanities subjects
• Teaching across KS3 and KS4
• Preparing and delivering engaging lessons
• Teaching towards GCSE where appropriate
• Supporting students of different abilities
• Managing classroom behaviour
• Assessing and monitoring progress
• Working alongside experienced department teams
