Job summary

Term Time Teachers is seeking a Humanities Teacher for a well established secondary school in Kent, Tunbridge Wells. The role is full-time and permanent, starting September 2026, with a salary range of £31,000–£49,000.

You will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 in Geography, History and RE and teach at least one humanities subject to GCSE level (A-level desirable).

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge in Geography, History, or RE.
• Proven ability to achieve strong student outcomes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 in Geography, History, and Religious Education.
• Teach at least one Humanities subject to GCSE level (A-level desirable).
• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

Key Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge in at least one specialism (Geography, History, or RE)
• A proven ability (or clear potential) to achieve strong student outcomes
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A collaborative approach and commitment to team working
