About Newton Prep

Newton Prep is a successful and dynamic school for children between the ages of 3 and 13. Our school is situated at the heart of one of London’s most exciting areas in Nine Elms, conveniently close to Battersea Park and Queenstown Road BR stations and the new London Underground Northern Line Battersea Power Station. We have high standards and expectations and are interested in education in the fullest sense. Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational part-time teacher (0.6FTE) to work in the Humanities department to provide additional support to the department on a fixed term contract until 10th July 2026, working three days per week Tuesday - Thursday.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day pastoral care and academic progress of the children in their class.
  • Teach a range of Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, and TPR (Theology, Philosophy and Religion) to children aged 9-13 years old (Years 5-8).
  • Deliver excellent lessons which result in pupils achieving the highest standards possible, as well as providing outstanding pastoral care.
