MUFG’s sustainability programme in EMEA is formed of five workstreams: ESG Business Coordination and Strategy, Risk Management, Policy and Advocacy, Corporate Sustainability, and ESG Disclosures. The five workstreams are responsible for driving MUFG’s sustainability objectives in EMEA while managing associated risks. The Corporate Sustainability workstream is responsible for defining and overseeing the execution of the sustainability strategy of MUFG EMEA’s operations and upstream value chain, with the objectives to reduce our carbon emissions, manage our other environmental impacts and manage sustainability risks in our supply chain. The Corporate Sustainability workstream is also responsible for the human rights framework for the EMEA region.

The main purpose of this role is to support the corporate sustainability workstream objectives, including but not limited to the development and ongoing maintenance of a human rights framework for MUFG operations in the EMEA region. This will involve working closely with the Director, Corporate Sustainability and key stakeholders across departments, regions and affiliates to align and leverage approaches. The role will operate across Bank and Securities.
The role will also be responsible for supporting the integration of sustainability into our supplier frameworks and acting as a point of contact for sustainability topics during the supplier lifecycle.
