Job summary

A successful manufacturing company in Manchester is seeking an HR Manager to lead their HR function. The role includes overseeing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management while ensuring compliance with best practices. About the role;

Reporting into the CEO, this is a critical role and a trusted partner for the leadership team. As the HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of the entire HR function, from recruitment and employee relations to performance management and compliance. You’ll lead initiatives that enhance employee experience and support organisational growth, while ensuring the organisation remains aligned with best practices and employment law.

Key elements of the role include;
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning
  • Develop succession planning and training programmes
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Implement performance management processes and support managers
  • Maintain and update HR policies in line with employment law
  • Assist with payroll, benefits, and compensation reviews
  • Drive engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives

This is a site based role with flexibility.

What we’re looking for;
  • Proactive and solutions focused HR generalist with broad experience gained at Management level, ideally within an SME organisation.
  • Manufacturing (or similar) would be preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
