Electronic Manufacturing – Hybrid, Ipswich and Cambridge

This well-established, world‑class Electronics manufacturing business works across a number of sectors, including Greentech, Medical and Aerospace and is committed to excellence, following internationally recognized quality standards.

They are now looking to recruit an HR Manager, a new Hybrid position covering their sites near Cambridge and Ipswich. Reporting to the CFO, this will initially be a stand‑alone position where you will provide advice and guidance on a wide range of HR‑related matters and people queries and is a role suited for a highly motivated individual that genuinely wants to make a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the full employee life cycle and develop new initiatives to ensure employee engagement and an inclusive culture.
  • Support and coach line managers to effectively manage their teams.
  • Learning and Development: Identify learning needs across the businesses and establish and develop a relevant program for succession.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure all HR and employee paperwork is completed to a high standard, and accurate records are maintained. Develop and update HR policies in line with UK employment law and industry best practice.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives to drive collaboration and engagement, including DEI initiatives to ensure an inclusive place to work where everyone can be themselves and do their best work.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure all HR and employee paperwork is completed to a high standard, and accurate records are maintained. Develop and update HR policies in line with UK employment law and industry best practice.
Required Experience/Skills
  • Ideally qualified to CIPD level 5 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a stand‑alone HR role possibly in a SME environment.
  • Able to work independently and drive forward projects as well as the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.
  • Committed to driving and maintaining an inclusive working environment.
  • Experience managing employment relations with the initiative to escalate for further support in complex situations.

This is an exciting new HR position and will require you to be in the office 3 times a week covering their sites near Ipswich and Cambridge.
