Salary: Up to £55,000 + Car Allowance

An established and growing international engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the UK HR function. This is a senior, hands‑on role, offering the opportunity to shape people strategy, embed robust HR processes, and act as a trusted partner to the leadership team during a period of growth and change.

The Role

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will take full ownership of HR across a UK workforce of under 100 employees, supported by an HR Administrator. You will operate as a key member of the leadership team, balancing strategic input with day‑to‑day operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR function and contribute to business strategy and organisational design
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and systems
  • Manage all employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law
  • Oversee visa compliance and international employee considerations
  • Drive KPI‑led people management, producing HR dashboards and insight for senior leaders
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, training, apprenticeships, and talent development
  • Support performance management and address under performance where required
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation and automation
About You
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • 5+ years' experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR role
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering, or similarly operational environments preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Proven experience implementing HR processes, policies, and KPIs
  • Commercially aware, analytical, resilient, and highly proactive
  • Confident influencing at all levels with excellent communication skills
