About the Role

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for providing operational HR support to both Business Services employees and Attorneys within the firm’s offices, operating as a first point of contact for HR related matters. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Management of employee lifecycle processes and changes, including payroll
  • Helping employees and clients with advice and guidance on a variety of people-related matters, such as policy interpretation and signposting to relevant benefits and resources etc.
  • Working in close partnership with the HR Business Partners on people related matters such as flexible working, leave of absences and programmatic initiatives
  • Partnering with other Business Services teams and Centres of Excellence to enhance the operations and connectivity of the HR team across the firm
  • Driving and actively contributing to the execution of HR projects and initiatives (both global and local)

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of a human resources function and are familiar with the full employee lifecycle and UK employment legislation
  • Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships across teams at all organisational levels of the firm
  • Work well in both a team and independently
  • Demonstrate experience in managing highly confidential and sensitive people matters
