HR Director

MacGregor Black are looking for a HR Director for a global food and beverage manufacturing business. This is a permanent, London based role with some nation wide travel.

The Group HR Director will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape and embed a culture of excellence, innovation, and engagement across a growing organisation. This leader will be responsible for building and guiding a confident, solutions-driven HR team, ensuring alignment between people strategies and the business’s commercial ambitions.

A key focus of the role will be leading integration initiatives across different business units, harmonising people processes, organisational structures, and cultural alignment to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Drive a high-performance culture that reflects company values and encourages innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Lead cultural transformation and change management initiatives to support business development and employee experience.
  • Provide regular, data-driven reporting on people-related metrics including workforce planning, talent development, and organisational health.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, offering insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
  • Ensure all HR operations and policies comply with employment law and industry standards.
  • Oversee HR systems and processes to improve efficiency and enable data-led decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate people-related risks to protect the business and ensure compliance.
  • Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain exceptional talent.
  • Enhance employer branding to position the organisation as an employer of choice.
  • Oversee workforce planning and integration projects to ensure seamless alignment of people strategies across the group.
  • Develop and implement training and leadership development programmes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring employees have access to professional growth opportunities.
  • Lead the design of competitive compensation and benefits frameworks.
  • Embed effective performance management processes that encourage accountability, continuous improvement, and recognition.
