A leading educational charity in Greater London seeks a skilled People Manager to support HR operations across four academies. This role is pivotal in driving people-focused projects and partnering with stakeholders to enhance educational outcomes. The role is part of our People and Culture function, where we have a number of Centre's of Expertise , looking to add value to our operations and ultimately support our key stakeholders in providing exceptional education to our students. This role will directly support 4 of our academies (mix of primary/Secondary and straight through) based around Croydon. The role will be hybrid with likely 3 days a week in academies. The key aspect of the role is to be a true strategic partner to your key stakeholders namely Principals and Department lead (national functions) and to deliver support on a wide range of people challenges. You'll do this where possible through coaching & proactive approaches to HR/people problems.
You'll be a people person and happy to get into academies and get to know your key stakeholders (and ultimately understand why we do this job). You'll be someone who can influence leaders, backed up with a strong HR generalised background to be able to provide the support they need or don't realise they need! You will have managed (or come with a positive attitude and approach) to embed change , have experience being a first point of contact for ER matters and with prior experience in driving ‘people focused’ projects forward. Experience in an unionised environment would be beneficial as would experience in Education; however we are open to exploring sectors where there are synergies to the challenges we may have. Duration: This is a permanent opportunity
Salary:£53,172 – £57,402
Base: Head office is in London Waterloo;however the role will support in person across 4 academies currently around the Croydon area in the Soiuh as required, likely 3 days a week (academy details can be found on website)
Hours: 37 hours a week with support required outside of this, should there be any critical incidents that need responding to.

The holiday year runs between 1st September and 31st August. If employment commences or terminates part way through a holiday year, the entitlement during that holiday year shall be calculated on a pro-rata basis rounded up to the nearest half day.
