Another Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a well-established manufacturing and engineering business in the UK.

You will report to the EMEA HR Director, partner with UK leadership, and shape people strategies, workforce planning and change initiatives while ensuring compliance with UK employment law.

The role offers opportunities to broaden the remit into Europe and to contribute to a wide HR centre of excellence across the region.

Qualifications

  • Level 7 CIPD qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven HR generalist experience in a senior role, ideally FMCG/engineering.
  • Strong commercial mindset, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
  • Experience managing HRIS and HR data; Workday experience advantageous.
  • Experience driving workforce planning, succession and talent planning.
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and complex case management.
  • Strategic thinker with HR change project experience.
  • Comfortable in a complex, ambiguous business environment.
  • Coaching and stakeholder development experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • French or other language skills advantageous though not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Director to implement the People Strategy with actionable plans.
  • Partner with managers on employee relations, resourcing and talent.
  • Be on-site UK HR partner for issues and administration.
  • Monitor UK employment legislation and communicate updates.
  • Analyse workforce data to drive proactive decisions with HR Director.
  • Prepare HR MI reports for senior leadership.
  • Support HR compliance, risk mitigation and controls.
  • Contribute to HR strategy, organisational change, and wellbeing programs.
  • Enhance employee experience, engagement, wellbeing and retention.
  • Lead workforce planning and forecast talent and recruiting needs.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on compensation and reward initiatives.
  • Engage with Centres of Excellence across EMEA and lead L&D initiatives.
  • Partner with EMEA HR to align regional efforts.

Job description

A well-established manufacturing and engineering business is looking for a commercially minded HR Business Partner to join a team that is continually innovating and unlocking value for their people. Reporting into the EMEA HR Director and partnering with a wider global HR centre of excellence (business partnering, Talent, HRIS, Total Reward), you will be the trusted strategic and operational people partner for UK-based employees, with the opportunity to broaden your remit into Europe as the role evolves.

Alongside the experience listed below, the successful candidate will be comfortable operating as an individual contributor as a key member of the UK leadership team whilst adopting a pragmatic approach to leading the business people wise.

HR Business Partner, The Role
  • Supporting the HR Director to implement the People Strategy through actionable operational plans, aligning daily responsibilities with long-term objectives
  • Partnering with managers and key stakeholders, offering expert guidance on employee relations, matters of resourcing and talent, and conflict resolution
  • Being the on-site people partner for all HR related issues, managing your own administration
  • Keeping up to date with UK employment legislation developments, communicating updates on policies with stakeholders accordingly and ensuring application
  • Analysing and interpreting workforce data and insights to drive proactive decision making in collaboration with the HR Director
  • Preparing regular HR management information reports for senior leadership
  • Proactively identifying and supporting HR compliance and controls and mitigating risk
  • Supporting initiatives such as HR strategy and organisational change, including workforce planning, leadership development, succession, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, restructuring, and cultural development programs
  • Enhancing employee experience, fostering appropriate levels of engagement, well-being, and retention
  • Drive ongoing workforce planning to forecast talent and recruitment needs
  • Working with business leaders to ensure competitive compensation and reward initiatives are considered
  • Working with the wider centres of excellence and Functions, to engage business-wide L&D initiatives, including coaching, support, and development of leadership
  • Partnering with centres of excellence across the EMEA HR team
HR Business Partner, Experience Required:
  • Level 7 CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Proven experience of working as a HR generalist in a senior role, ideally gained in an FMCG or engineering environment
  • Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to prioritise and stay pragmatic and solutions-focused
  • Experience managing HRIS systems and data, with a strong attention to detail — Workday experience highly advantageous
  • Experience of driving working planning strategies, succession and talent planning
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and managing complex cases
  • Strategic thinking and experience of implementing HR change projects
  • Comfortable operating in a complex and ambiguous business environment
  • Effective coaching and stakeholder development experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Occasional travel will be required
  • French (or other) language skills would be an advantage, but are not essential
