The Seagate Human Resources team is looking for a forward‑thinking, solutions‑oriented Human Resources Business Partner. The Human Resources Business Partner will support the business by providing a comprehensive, professional, and efficient HR service. This involves solving organisational challenges with people‑related solutions aligned to our core values, while showing a commitment to provide a great employee experience for our employees through all phases of their careers. This role will be responsible for supporting managers and employees across the organisation as well as influencing and executing our people‑related strategy.

We are a dynamic and fast‑paced organisation, supporting 24×7 manufacturing operations and development teams. We are looking for a colleague who is excited about trying new things and offering a creative yet efficient approach to people programmes.

About the role – you will
  • Be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to leaders and play a critical role in enhancing their leadership effectiveness.
  • Develop and drive people‑related strategies by identifying and researching HR issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendations in line with organisational objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with business clients and support managers in the application of HR policies and procedures, employment law and HR best practice.
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, employee relations and development, talent reviews, absence management and employee engagement.
  • Be a role model and guide for employees. Champion, promote and demonstrate our culture of Integrity, Inclusion, and Innovation.
  • Provide insightful data to guide decision making and deliver proactive solutions.
  • Ensure the successful completion of inclusive, global HR programmes in close collaboration with our HR Centres of Excellence.
  • Lead and participate in local or global project teams on HR projects and initiatives.
About you
  • Extensive experience in managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving skills with the ability to organise and analyse data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • The ability to influence others and establish professional partnerships.
Your experience includes
  • At least two years’ experience working in a HR Business Partner role or a Senior HR Generalist role.
  • Experience in handling complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience working in a Unionised environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of employment law in Northern Ireland and the practical application in a business environment.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of employee engagement strategies and initiatives.

This is a Full‑Time position working 39 hours per week, on‑site.
