Job summary

Areti Group | B Corp™ is seeking an experienced Workday Business Analyst to support the Discovery phase of a major Workday transformation. You will partner with HR, Finance, IT and leadership to understand current processes and design the to-be model, outlining a clear roadmap for implementation.

The role emphasizes requirements gathering, stakeholder management and programme mobilisation, rather than hands-on configuration, with London-based work and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on Workday programmes (HCM/Finance).
• Strong requirements elicitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading discovery workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to map current and future processes and document BRDs.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Visio and Miro for analysis work.

Workday Business Analyst (Discovery Phase)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Business Analyst to support the Discovery phase of a major Workday transformation programme. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, programme leadership, HR, Finance and Technology teams to understand current processes, define future-state requirements and establish a clear roadmap for implementation.

This is a business-facing role with a strong focus on requirements gathering, process analysis, stakeholder engagement and programme mobilisation. The role is not configuration-focused and will primarily support the organisation in making key design decisions before entering the build phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops across business and functional workstreams.


• Capture and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.


• Analyse current (\"as-is\") processes and identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation.


• Facilitate future-state (\"to-be\") process design aligned to Workday best practice.


• Produce process maps, user journeys and business requirements documentation.


• Support development of business cases, implementation scope and prioritisation activities.


• Identify gaps between current operating models and future Workday capabilities.


• Define key business processes, reporting requirements, integrations and data considerations.


• Work closely with programme managers, architects and implementation partners.


• Support governance activities including RAID management, decision logs and stakeholder updates.


• Contribute to programme mobilisation and readiness planning.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on Workday programmes.


• Strong understanding of Workday HCM and/or Workday Financials.


• Extensive discovery and requirements elicitation experience within large transformation programmes.


• Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders.


• Strong process mapping and business analysis skills.


• Experience producing BRDs, functional requirements, use cases and gap analysis documentation.


• Understanding of organisational change, target operating models and business transformation.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


• Previous experience supporting global or multi-country Workday implementations.


• Knowledge of HR, Finance or Shared Services operating models.


• Experience working with implementation partners and software vendors.


• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.


• Experience using Visio, Miro, Jira and Confluence.
