A leading player in the chilled and frozen food industry is seeking an experienced HR Professional to join their team in West Yorkshire. The role involves providing comprehensive HR services, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, policy compliance, and well-being initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a CIPD qualification and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Competitive salary offered up to £45,000 with 33 days holiday.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence issues.
  • Manage recruitment processes, support hiring managers, and deliver effective onboarding.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures align with UK legislation.
  • Support managers with performance management and appraisals.
  • Monitor attendance and support return-to-work processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Promote employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a talented and experienced HR Professional to join their facility in West Yorkshire.

  • Salary is up to £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

The role

You will join an incredibly supportive business who deliver a comprehensive and business-focused HR service, which includes recruitment, retention, and L&D whilst supporting the management team with a range of employee issues.

  • Employee Relations Provide advice and support on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence issues, ensuring compliance with policy and employment law.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding Manage recruitment processes, support hiring managers, and deliver effective onboarding and induction.
  • Policy & Compliance Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and align with UK legislation and industry standards.
  • Performance & Development Support managers with performance management, appraisals, and identifying training needs.
  • Absence Management Monitor attendance, support return-to-work processes, and liaise with Occupational Health as required.
  • HR Data & Reporting Maintain accurate HR records, ensure GDPR compliance, and provide HR metrics and analysis.
  • Engagement & Wellbeing Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Projects & Improvement Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that support business goals.
The candidate we are looking for
  • CIPD qualified.
  • HR or Business related degree - or equivalent experience
  • We are looking for a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role (within Food, Drink or FMCG manufacturing)
  • Be an empathetic individual, confident and be able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience implementing change, policies and procedures.
  • Good project management experience
  • Have a good understanding of current employment law.
