Manufacturing Engineer - Project Engineer

Location: Coventry   Department: HTRC   Career Level: 4

About the Role

As a Project Engineer at HTRC, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working with state‑of‑the‑art equipment in investment casting, machining, and advanced metrology. You'll lead projects that design and manufacture turbine components, develop novel manufacturing techniques, and drive cost reduction and yield improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Translate customer requirements into robust manufacturing methods.
  • Manage technical packages, planning, risk, and cost.
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, and operations teams.
  • Ensure validation, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
  • Degree qualified or has equivalent technical experience.
  • Skilled in manufacturing and component engineering principles.
  • Experienced in investment casting and/or machining of turbine components.
  • Proficient in CAD, CAM, tooling design, and inspection methods.
  • A proactive team player with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Experience in research environments and Design for Manufacture (DfM) is highly desirable.
