Job summary

Balfour Beatty Highways is seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Administrator for the A66 NTP Scheme, based in Penrith, Cumbria. The role supports the HSW team in safe delivery and wellbeing, with duties spanning data reporting, dashboard maintenance, and portal administration.

The successful candidate will have strong IT skills (Excel/PowerPoint), administrative experience, and a detail‑oriented, proactive approach. This position offers a supportive team environment on a major highway project.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the HSW Team to support the project team in the safe delivery of the scheme and the wellbeing of those working on the scheme.
  • Monthly and weekly data reporting / presentation production and distribution.
  • Maintenance of a Monthly Project Dashboard for sharing HSW Performance.
  • Ownership of BB’s HSES Project Portal (HSW Performance that tracks observations, Inspections, working hours etc).
  • Ownership of MSite/equivalent (portal used to manages individuals’ Competence, Time and Attendance on the project).
  • Maintenance of project HSW Notice Boards, posters etc
  • Maintenance of various electronic registers as required.
  • Regular communication and promoting engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the identification of project team HSW training needs and facilitating accordingly.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events.
  • Assist with administration of HSW meetings.
  • Assist the Project Leads as required with any administrative support.

About The Role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Administrator to join our team on the Highways A66 NTP Scheme, this role will be based at Penrith, Cumbria

Balfour Beatty Highways maintain, manage, and operate major highway networks across the UK and support local authorities creating communities where people want to live work and play.

We provide high quality asset strategy, management, and planning consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector customers. We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable, and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. We put our customers first and prioritise completing schemes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing
