Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in fire safety, environmental knowledge, and ISO 14001.
  • Strong H&S legislation knowledge specific to the construction/property sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety information systems and records.
  • Advise on compliance for fire safety and legionella.
  • Conduct audits and communicate safety measures.

HSEQ Manager – Property

Manchester City Centre | Permanent – Full Time | £50,000 - £55,000 | Benefits

Role Overview

You’ll ensure compliance with statutory and non-statutory safety regulations, promote a culture of wellbeing, and safeguard staff, residents, and building users. Passion for health and safety and ongoing professional development are key.

Qualifications & Skills
  • NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent)
  • Fire Safety qualification (IFE/IFSM or equivalent)
  • Environmental experience and ISO 14001 knowledge
  • Strong grasp of H&S legislation in construction/property sectors
  • Proven experience with high-risk residential buildings and Building Safety Act 2022
  • CDM regulation expertise
  • Excellent communication, IT skills, and relationship‑building
  • Self‑motivated, pragmatic, and results‑driven
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly
  • IOSH/IIRSM membership
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety information systems and accurate records
  • Advise on fire safety, legionella, asbestos, electrical and gas compliance
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and ensure remedial actions
  • Communicate safety measures to residents
  • Lead disaster recovery drills and incident reporting
  • Support cultural improvements in H&S across sites
  • Investigate incidents and environmental impacts
  • Provide SHE advice to staff and leadership
  • Deliver statistical insights and root cause analysis
