About the Role

Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, this high‑impact, hands‑on position is ideal for a professional ready to influence change and support people at all levels of the business. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and embedding our integrated HSEQ systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and standards. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety – with regular travel to regional sites and opportunities to lead across multiple business units.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and continuously improve our HSEQ systems across all business operations
  • Facilitate incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety improvement initiatives
  • Support compliance with WHS (Mines) Regulations, ISO standards, and client expectations
  • Develop and deliver HSEQ training and toolbox content
  • Provide guidance on workers’ compensation and return‑to‑work processes
  • Conduct internal audits and site inspections to ensure robust safety performance
  • Maintain our accreditations and assist with external audits
  • Be a visible HSEQ presence at site and office locations
  • Provide input into tenders and project safety planning
  • Mentor and guide the HSEQ Administrator who reports into this position
What You’ll Bring
  • Diploma level (or higher) qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
  • Experience managing HSEQ systems within mining, electrical, or high‑risk industries
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and WHS legislation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage and influence across all levels – from the boardroom to the workshop
  • A proactive, supportive, and inclusive approach to safety leadership
  • WA Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office; experience with STEMS or similar HSEQ software
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Business or management qualification
  • Experience with change management or cultural improvement programs
