Job summary

Network Plus Group is seeking a proactive HSEQ Advisor to join our central HSEQ Team, overseeing one regional contract and reporting to the HSEQ Lead from Exeter. You will promote compliance, escalate issues, and ensure staff are aware of actions and document control.

The role covers safety, quality systems, ISO standards, and training compliance across the contract, with a strong focus on CDM, health and safety qualifications, and contributing to continuous improvement within

Qualifications

• CDM knowledge required and strong H&S awareness.
• H&S qualification (e.g., NEBOSH) essential
• EUSR Water Hygiene and EUSR Shea Water desirable
• IOSH Managing Safely desirable
• Experience in Utilities or Construction sectors desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and compliance standards and address issues promptly.
• Conduct verification inspections and close findings.
• Support investigations into accidents and ensure quality reporting.
• Promote unsafe acts reporting and safe interventions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Drive close out of corrective actions with compliance and auditors.
• Compile contract accident/incident stats and attend client meetings.
• Collaborate with operations to improve processes and systems.
• Promote correct on-site and office safety behaviours.
• Support training/competency requirements and contract milestones.
• Assist with accreditations like ISO45001/9001/14001.
• Contribute to milestone and strategy plan for the contract.
• Be willing to learn about our products and services.

Description

As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team with responsibility for one of our regional contracts reporting to the HSEQ Lead.

You will be responsible for promoting compliance throughout the business and for escalating all issues identified. You will also be responsible for ensuring employees are made aware of issues raised and for promoting document control and system compliance.

Department: South West Water

Location: Exeter

Compensation: £40,000 - £55,000 / year

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that safety and compliance standards are maintained, and any issues are addressed immediately
• Complete verification inspections – follow up on closure of findings/non-conformances
• Support the accident and incident investigations, and promote good quality reporting and closure
• Complete and encourage unsafe acts/conditions and positive intervention reporting
• Complete a weekly and monthly report on achievements and issues identified
• Communicate and drive an efficient close out of corrective actions raised by the Compliance Department and external auditors
• Compile Accident/Incident Stats for the contracts your support and attend client meetings
• Work with the wider operational team to maintain strong relationships and improve processes/systems where possible
• Drive the correct and safe behaviours out on-site and within the office
• Support the contract on training and competency requirements, ensuring that the contracts are achieving the highest standards of training compliance
• You will assist the Quality Assurance Lead with accreditations and provide support where required, with standards, including but not limited to ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 etc
• Support the business with delivering the milestone and strategy plan on contract
• Evolve within the business and be willing to learn more about the products / services that we provide.

Experience and Qualifications

• Strong CDM knowledge
• H&S qualification (essential) e.g. NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
• EUSR Water Hygiene (desirable)
• EUSR Shea Water (desirable)
• IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)
• Experience of having worked in the Utilities or Construction sectors (desirable)
• Full UK Driving License
