Job summary

SCS Railways is recruiting a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to support the Shafts & Headhouses delivery team, overseeing MEP construction works on the Greenpark Way shaft site in London. You will assist the Health & Safety Manager, help implement the HSMS to maintain OHSAS 18001:2007 certification, drive best practices, and coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in Construction/Infrastructure Health & Safety.
• Experience supporting MEP construction works (building services/mechanical, electrical, public health).
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate required.
• IOSH membership (Grad IOSH) preferred.
• Five years’ experience in Construction/Infrastructure Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement SCS Health & Safety Policies and statutory requirements.
• Provide guidance on practical implementation of H&S policies to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist H&S Manager in understanding aims, priorities and risks related to H&S.
• Assist in developing Health and Safety Management plans and coordination of reviews.
• Provide guidance on prevention of accidents, incidents and ill health.
• Support the Health and Safety Management System implementation and monitoring.
• Engage with external stakeholders such as local authorities and HSE as required.
• Assist with risk assessments and safe systems of work preparation.
