Job summary

Arriva London is seeking a high-calibre Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of safety performance across our East and South London operations. You will champion and embed the UK Bus Health & Safety Management System across multiple garages and sites, influencing senior leaders and frontline teams to ensure proactive, embedded safety culture.

The role requires a NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent, with proven multi-site, high-risk experience and strong leadership to drive meaningful

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert H&S advice across the business.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety management plans.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and site visits to drive standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis (incl. RIDDOR).
  • Ensure full statutory compliance across all sites.
  • Deliver safety performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Oversee training programmes and inductions.
  • Chair health, safety & environmental meetings.
