Job summary

Latitude Recruitment is assisting a leading marine client in Portsmouth to hire an HSE Manager on a 2–3 month contract. The role focuses on leading health, safety and environmental activities across site, with a 37.5-hour week.

You will develop and implement H&S policies, lead risk assessments and investigations, manage contractor H&S compliance, deliver toolbox talks and support an integrated management system to promote a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSE on industrial sites and across multiple teams.
• Ability to develop and implement H&S policies and procedures.
• Strong competency in risk assessments and incident investigations.

Our leading marine client is currently looking for a HSE manager to work a 2-3 month contract based in Portsmouth.

The successful Health Safety Environmental manager will be required to carry out the following range of duties:

• Lead, manage and continually improve all health, safety and environmental activities across site.
• Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies and procedures.
• Lead and review COSHH and risk assessments.
• Lead accident and incident investigations
• Manage contractor H&S compliance including review of documentation.
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks.
• Maintain and develop the environmental management systems
• Monitor environmental aspects and impacts, including waste, emissions, discharges and energy usage.
• Maintain and continually improve the Integrated management system.
• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all sites
