Role Overview
As HSE Manager, you will lead health, safety, and environmental systems on‑site, ensuring compliance, promoting best practice, and driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement. If you have a strong background in HSE management within manufacturing or FMCG, this role offers the chance to make a real impact across both site and group operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the site.
- Advise the General Manager and site leadership on compliance standards and HSE performance.
- Lead site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing corrective and preventive measures as needed.
- Manage incident investigations, maintain accident records, and ensure statutory reporting is completed on time.
- Oversee fire safety compliance, including risk assessments, drills, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate environmental compliance activities, including waste management, EPR permits, and sustainability reporting.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency, insurers, and enforcement authorities.
- Support training and awareness programmes to strengthen HSE knowledge and engagement across teams.
- Provide regular reports on health, safety, and environmental KPIs, ensuring alignment with group standards.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental management role within manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation, compliance standards, and audit requirements.
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or higher preferred).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage effectively across all levels.
- Strong organisational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
