Job summary

Nordex UK in Manchester is offering a Safety & Environment Internship for Summer 2027. You will join the HSE team to support safety and environmental initiatives across Nordex UK & Ireland.

The role is a 12-month full-time placement starting August 2027, with a 37-hour week and a Friday 3pm finish. Applicants may be final-year students or recent graduates in EHS or Sustainability, eager to develop hands-on skills and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Studying Environmental, Health & Safety or Sustainability degree and seeking a placement as part of your degree.
• Recent graduate with an Environmental, Health & Safety or Sustainability degree seeking work experience in this role.
• Committed to a 12-month full-time placement starting Aug 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the Health, Safety and Environment team with hazard identification and audits.
• Assist with risk assessments, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Contribute to incident investigations by gathering information and documenting findings.
• Support environmental compliance activities and company policies.
• Aid in environmental awareness campaigns and dashboard updates.
• Prepare monthly reports and trackers for HSE activities.
• Research best practices, regulations and sustainability initiatives.
• Promote a positive safety culture and assist with improvement projects.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; assist Nordex UK & Ireland team.
