Job summary

Our Client is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join their Aberdeen Office and support Offshore Operations. You will coordinate Technical Safety and related activities, reporting to the Section Head HSE and Asset Manager.

The role requires significant offshore oil and gas experience, strong knowledge of Technical and Process Safety Management, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. This is a key position to maintain and continuously improve safety and integrity of offshore

Qualifications

• Significant offshore oil and gas experience.
• Strong knowledge of Technical and Process Safety Management.
• Experience working with UK regulators and engaging with external parties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Technical Safety activities and related Improvement Projects.
• Act as the Technical Safety focal point in Risk Assessments.
• Engage with external parties including HSE, OSDR, OEUK, SCiS and clients on Technical HSE matters.
• Support development of Process Safety Management (PSM) improvements and assurance activities.
• Lead or participate in risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Oversee effectiveness of Safety & Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs) and other HSE arrangements.
• Develop and monitor HSE performance indicators, audit findings and incident trends.
• Provide regular HSE and Process Safety performance reporting to Asset and Line Management.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have significant offshore oil and gas experience, strong knowledge of Technical and Process Safety Management, experience working with UK regulators, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
