Job summary

Honeywell in Eastbourne seeks a part-time HSE Engineer to support environmental, health and safety initiatives within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental, health and safety management systems (ISO 14001/ISO 45001).
• IOSH Managing Safely certification required at minimum.

Our Client, a reputable organisation based at Honeywell, is hiring for a dedicated HSE Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis until the end of December 2026. Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain company policies aligned with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

• Prepare, update, and maintain environmental policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations and stay informed of legislative changes.
• Act as the point of contact with regulatory bodies at all levels.
• Support general EHS tasks, including process and procedure writing and system management.

Qualifications

• Experience working with management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or both.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification (minimum).
• Good PC skills and familiarity with manufacturing or similar industries.
• Ability to write and develop processes and procedures.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work under supervision.
• Ideally, 1‑2 years in EHS or junior roles, with a keen interest in developing expertise in environmental and safety management.
