Job summary

MAPP in London is seeking a qualified HSE Risk Assessor to conduct compliance audits across sites in line with ISO and UK standards for fire, health & safety, and environmental risks. The role is based in our London office and involves collaborating with clients to improve risk management.

You will plan and deliver audits, lead non-conformity actions, provide training, and build strong relationships with teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate required.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management or 5+ years experience.
• Experience leading audits and HS&E audits.
• Clean driving license.
• Real estate or facilities management sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal Fire, Health & Safety and Environmental audits.
• Carry out risk assessments in line with legal requirements.
• Facilitate external audits with certification bodies.
• Provide training as required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Ensure identified non-conformities are progressed to conclusions.

Role Summary / Purpose and Scope

An opportunity has become available for a HSE Risk Assessor based in our London Office to conduct compliance audits in line with the requirements of ISO and British standards applicable to MAPP’s management of Fire, Health & Safety risks and Environmental aspects.

Skills (People & Technical)

• Conduct internal Fire, Health & Safety and Environmental audits/risk assessments at all sites within scope in accordance with the audit schedule.
• Carry out all risk assessments in line with best practice and in accordance with legal requirements.
• Facilitate external audits with certification bodies in accordance with UKAS requirements.
• The ability to conduct and provide training as required.
• Provide advice and guidance as appropriate, whilst undertaking assessments and audits.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and other requirements.
• Ensure identified non-conformities are progressed to satisfactory conclusions.
• Develop relationships with clients, teams and suppliers to harness innovation, look at future practices, technology and trends to influence service delivery. Work with the team in identifying root causes and working collaboratively in continuous improvement initiatives.

Level of Experience / Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience of working in a similar role in Real Estate or Facilities Management sector would be desirable
• Clean Driving License
• Essential NEBOSH National General Certificate
• Essential NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management (or NEBOSH Fire Safety) or over 5 years experience.
• Experience of leading the planning and delivery of audits.
• Experience of conducting combined HS&E audits.
• Experience of conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
• Experience of running unplanned incident preparedness tests and fire drills.
• Experience of working in the Real Estate or Facilities Management sector would be desirable
• Experience of carrying out Emergency Preparedness testing.
• Equivalent or working towards NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety
• Desirable- Graduate Member of IOSH -Essential Minimum Tech IOSH
• Desirable Legionella and Legionnaires Disease Awareness
• Desirable or willing to complete ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)
• Desirable or willing to complete IEMA Internal Auditor course

Working Hours:

9am - 5.30pm Monday - Thursday & 9am - 5pm Friday

Salary Range (Based on Experience)

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
