A leading building materials distributor is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment Advisor to support branches across the Midlands. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a safety culture within the organization. The ideal candidate should have a NEBOSH General Certificate and TechIOSH status, along with strong communication skills and experience in safety culture initiatives. This role will support branches in/around the West and East Midlands. This role is responsible for providing front-line Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) support to Branch Managers and Regional Directors, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements while driving a strong safety culture across the business. The position oversees Group and statutory Health & Safety reporting, leads Lost Time Injury (LTI) investigations with thorough root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up, manages HSE-related cases to resolution, and delivers the second line of defence audit programme to provide assurance, identify risks, and recommend improvements. Through these activities, the role plays a critical part in safeguarding employees, reducing operational risks, and enabling the organisation to meet its commitment to health, safety, and sustainability.
