Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Kettering. The role supports the HSE Manager to deliver world-class Health, Safety, Environmental, Energy and Sustainability performance on site.

The candidate will manage legal compliance, drive continuous improvement, engage employees and align with client standards, with a strong focus on audits and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (Essential)
• NEBOSH/IEMA Environmental Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
• Experience in Manufacturing environment and HSE management systems
• Environmental compliance and permitting
• Accident investigation and root cause analysis
• Behavioural safety programmes and audit/inspection processes

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of key HSE projects.
• Help maintain ISO 14001 management systems and legal compliance registers.
• Support environmental permitting, waste, energy and sustainability compliance requirements.
• Conduct audits, inspections and workplace assessments.
• Develop risk assessments, safe systems of work and operational procedures.
• Lead and support accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
• Coordinate HSE communications, campaigns and behavioural safety programs.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness initiatives.
• Monitor KPI performance and prepare management reports.
• Support sustainability, carbon, water, waste and energy reduction initiatives.

Job Title: HSE Advisor

Location: Kettering

Salary: up to £55,000, doe

Term: 12-month fixed term contract

I am looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join my client on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The purpose of the role is to support the HSE Manager in delivering world-class Health, Safety, Environmental, Energy and Sustainability performance across the site, ensuring legal compliance, continuous improvement, employee engagement and alignment with the client s standards.

As there are high accountabilities with this role, and delivery KPI s is critical, they are looking for the following qualifications in any candidate they would consider:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational H&S or equivalent (Essential)
• NEBOSH/IEMA Environmental Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
• ISO 45001 Internal Auditor (Desirable)
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor (Desirable)
• Train the Trainer qualification (Desirable)

• As well as the above, you must have proven experience in a Manufacturing environment, Health & Safety management systems., Environmental compliance and permitting, Accident investigation and root cause analysis, Behavioural safety programmes, Audit and inspection processes.

The key accountabilities, deliverables and KPI s are outlined below:

They are looking for someone who has the below technical skills to fulfil the role :

Technical Skills:

• Risk assessment and hazard identification.
• Incident investigation techniques.
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems.
• Environmental legislation knowledge.
• Data analysis and KPI reporting.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Training delivery and coaching.
