Join Our Health and Safety Team at The Compleat Food Group! We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join our dedicated and professional team in Crewe! The HSE Advisor supports the effective delivery of the site’s HSE management system, focusing on preventing work‑related illnesses and injuries through practical, proactive engagement. The role requires strong influencing skills to collaborate across all levels of the organisation. In the absence of the HSE Manager, the Advisor acts as the site’s competent person, maintaining compliance and promoting best practice. They also lead key elements of the HSE management system, driving continuous improvement and alignment with organisational goals.

Role Details

Working Hours: Monday – Friday | Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role | Location: Crewe | Salary: Up to £40,000

Your Duties Will Include
  • Reduce HSE risks and hazards site‑wide and support ongoing legal compliance.
  • Deliver HSE training, conduct inspections/audits, and provide expert HSE guidance.
  • Implement and maintain the TCFG HSE management system, including reporting, governance, and document control.
  • Lead risk assessments, risk management activities, incident investigations, and RCA.
  • Manage contractors and visitors, including PTW processes and contractor audits.
  • Drive group‑wide HSE initiatives, campaigns, strategies, and system deployments.
  • Identify unsafe conditions/practices and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update required HSE compliance documentation and safety‑critical procedures.
  • Report and act on HSE violations in line with TCFG requirements.
  • Sustain a high level of HSE competency and deputise for the HSE Manager when required.
  • Liaise with regulators and other key stakeholders as needed.
  • Participate in HSE community calls/forums and contribute to TCFG’s wider HSE community.
About You
  • Level 3 H&S qualification (Essential)
  • Level 6 H&S qualification and Environmental qualification (Desirable)
  • Good knowledge of specific work task (3 – 5 Years in similar role)
  • Environmental experience and BS ISO 45001 (OHSMS)
