Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design elements on HS2 Lot S1/S2. You will coordinate with design partners, manage shop drawings, and liaise with construction and subcontractor teams to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery of design deliverables.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to health, safety and environmental policies, and mentoring junior engineers within a large JV environment on a high-profile UK

Qualificações

• Degree level engineering qualification.
• Professional qualification such as IEng or CEng.
• Experience with contractors on major projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Knowledge of contract law and forms.
• Extensive knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
• Computer competence with MS Word and Excel; document control systems.
• CSCS card.
• Health and safety and environmental management training.

Responsabilidades

• Reviewing client documentation and providing timely input into the design process.
• Tracking and reviewing design documentation.
• Coordinating the review of documentation with the relevant SCS teams.
• Assisting the Design Lead(s) in the review of design resources and outputs.
• Ensure that design management and assurance plans are adhered to.
• Demonstrate commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
• Ensure relevant teams receive necessary safety and environmental policy information.
• Internal liaison with Construction Team, QA, Cost Control.
• External liaison with HS2, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
