Job Title: HRIS Specialist

Location: Belfast, Hybrid
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times)

Summary

VANRATH is working in partnership with a well-established organisation to appoint an HR Data Analyst to support its people and workforce analytics capability. This opportunity suits a highly analytical professional with a strong background in workforce data, who can transform complex information into meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making.

What do you need?
  • At least three years' experience working with workforce or people data, with a strong understanding of HR and organisational processes.
  • Advanced capability in data analysis and visualisation, using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or equivalent, including the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards.
  • Highly analytical with strong numerical skills, excellent attention to data accuracy, and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines independently.
  • Confident communicator, able to present complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SQL, automation tools, data governance principles, and data protection legislation is desirable.
What you will do each day
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate workforce data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visual outputs to support leadership decision-making.
  • Monitor data integrity, identifying and resolving inconsistencies or quality issues within workforce datasets.
  • Deliver both scheduled and ad hoc analytical reports in line with business needs.
  • Continually enhance reporting tools and dashboards to improve usability, clarity, and impact.
  • Provide advice on best practice data management and support colleagues in maintaining secure and reliable data.
  • Present insights using engaging visual formats and data storytelling techniques to drive understanding.
  • Proactively identify trends and contribute to strategic initiatives through forward-looking analysis.
