Job summary

Morgan Stanley in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Operational Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of HR Employee Services (HRES) and lead transformation initiatives. This Director-level role champions governance, operational excellence and a world-class employee experience across HR operations.

You will build high-performing teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and partner with global HR and external providers to ensure compliant, standardized processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in HR service delivery, operations, or shared services environments.
• Deep understanding of tiered service delivery models and case management frameworks.
• 10+ years of Human Resources experience, including leadership roles in HR Operations, Employee Services, or Shared Services.
• Experience leading global teams and complex operational functions.

We’re seeking an experienced Operational Lead to join our team as HRES Delivery Lead. This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and ongoing transformation of HR Employee Services (HRES) in the UK, driving operational excellence, service innovation, and a world-class employee experience.

In the Human Capital Management division, we provide advice and insight to attract, retain, reward and develop a talented global workforce, giving employees the support and tools, they need to succeed. This is a Director level position within the HR Employee Services (HRES) team. The successful candidate will champion process optimization, strengthen governance and controls, and drive continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.

What you’ll do in the role

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR Employee Services, ensuring a consistent and seamless execution of HR operations and employee services
• Develop and lead high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Support the evolution of the HRES operating model through process improvement, service optimization, and operational transformation initiatives
• Manage key stakeholder relationships across the business and partner closely with global HR teams and external service providers
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards
• Establish a high-performing culture focused on service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Oversee outsourced vendor relationships, including governance, performance management, and issue escalation
• Promote standardization, consistency, and efficiency across HR processes while delivering a positive stakeholder experience
• Support the successful transition of new services, processes, and operational initiatives into the team
• Drive operational excellence through performance management, SLA governance, quality monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support informed decision-making

What you’ll bring in the role:

• Demonstrated leadership experience in HR service delivery, operations, or shared services environments
• Deep understanding of tiered service delivery models and case management frameworks
• 10+ years of Human Resources experience, including leadership roles in HR Operations, Employee Services, or Shared Services
• Demonstrated experience leading global teams and complex operational functions
• Experience driving large-scale transformation, automation, or service delivery improvements
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Experience managing vendor and outsourcing relationships is an advantage
• Strong risk and controls mindset
• Banking, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred
