Job description

Location: Leeds or Worksop (hybrid working, with nationwide travel)

Contract: 2 years fixed term

Why Greencore?

We’re one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, employing over 14,000 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots nationwide. We supply all the UK’s major food retailers with everything from sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals — and in FY24 we generated revenues of £1.8bn.

Our purpose is simple: to make every day taste better.

This role sits at the heart of our Making Business Easier (MBE) transformation programme – a multi-year initiative designed to simplify how we work, digitise our core processes, and make life easier for our people. As we continue to grow, we’re modernising how we plan, manage, and support our workforce — and this role will be pivotal to making that happen.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead the Time & Attendance and Workforce Management transformation within MBE, ensuring new processes and systems work seamlessly across our operational network.
  • Partner with HR, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and IT to design and deliver practical solutions that improve scheduling, payroll accuracy, and workforce planning.
  • Act as the HR lead for system implementation, ensuring that colleague experience and operational realities shape every decision.
  • Build confidence and capability across sites, supporting adoption and engagement from general managers, HR teams and frontline colleagues.
  • Present confidently and succinctly at Steering Committees and senior forums, turning complex updates into clear, impactful messages.
  • Track benefits and outcomes, ensuring improvements in accuracy, efficiency and compliance are measured and sustained.
  • Model Greencore’s commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and sustainability in how change is led and embedded.
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a senior HR professional with a strong grasp of operations and a passion for making processes and systems work better for people. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience delivering or implementing Time & Attendance or Workforce Management systems in a large, multi-site manufacturing, logistics or supply‑chain environment.
  • A solid HR background with strong operational understanding of shift patterns, pay accuracy, and workforce planning.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders — credible with general managers, supply‑chain leaders and exec teams.
  • Confident, impactful communication skills — able to present succinctly to senior audiences and lead engagement across multiple sites.
  • Experience with SAP, Kronos, UKG, Workday, or ADP systems (or similar).
  • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data and process insight into real‑world improvement.
  • Resilience, adaptability and a collaborative approach to delivering change.

At Greencore we put our people at the core. We celebrate their differences and help everyone to be themselves at work. Together we make every day taste better.

What you’ll get in return
  • Competitive salary and job‑related benefits
  • Car allowance and annual bonus
  • 25 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Pension up to 8% matched
  • Life insurance up to 4x salary
  • Private Medical Insurance (including spousal cover)
  • Company share save scheme
  • Enhanced parental leave and menopause policies
  • Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform
  • Access to a full Wellbeing Centre platform

Throughout your time at Greencore, you’ll be supported with on‑the‑job training and development opportunities to help you grow your career and make a lasting impact.

If you’re an HR leader who thrives at the intersection of people, process and technology, and you want to make a tangible difference in how 14,000 colleagues connect, clock and collaborate — we’d love to hear from you.
